The HuishanOldTown, famed as Wuxi's open-air museum, comprises 25 hectares of core area which is to be preserved, and 113 hectares of land to be developed to match the preserved core area. The old town features local customs and culture involving historical figures, temples and gardens, famous scenic sights, old streets, arts and crafts and local produce. What is unique is the existence of ancestral temples numbering 118 in all, which should be included in the world cultural heritage.
