The Historical Sites Related to Prince Taibo
Prince Taibo is acknowledged to be the first ancestor of China's Jiangnan Area, who established 3,000 years ago the State of Gouwu with the present-day Meicun as the capital, and started a new civilization here known as Wu Culture.
It has long been a tradition for all the Chinese people surnamed Wu, no matter where in the world they are, to come to Wuxi's Meicun to worship their common ancestor Taibo. Taibo's Temple in Meicun and Taibo's Grave in Hong Shan Hill are two most important sites they would visit.

The Wu Culture Park
Funded by the local farmers, the park is the 1st of this kind all over China that doubles as an exhibition center showcasing Wu Culture in a comprehensive way through exhibits, plastic arts,living examples and other means. Covering 30,000m2 in area, its 17 show rooms "play back" the past scenes of Wu Region, many of which have long been extinct, like traditional ways of growing rice and mulberry bushes, breeding and raising silk worms, local customs and ways of life and hundreds of lines of business. The park attracts tourists all over who are interested in Wu Culture.

The Memorial Hall of Xu Beihong
Located at the central part of Yixing and with representative works of art on display by Xu Beihong done in different periods, the hall tries to tell the visitors how Xu Beihong, from a poor country boy,worked hard up to become a master of art. Xu Beihong is Yixing's pride.

The Aristocrats' Tombs of the Yue State
Valued by China Archaeological Institute as one of the latest 10 major archaeological findings of the country, the new discovery at the foot of Wuxi's Hong Shan Hill adds a lot to the glory of China's history and culture.
